Quick post tonight! TD #17 is now subtropical storm Otto, becoming the 15th named storm of the 2010 hurricane season! However, like most of the tropical cyclones this year, Otto is a "fish storm"... The NHC has Otto eventually becoming a hurricane, but again it's not a threat to anyone! Looking in the future, the Caribbean region is really the only area left in the Atlantic basin I'm watching for development! Some of the models are hinting at some development in the W/NW Caribbean early next week, so that's something to watch in the future! I wouldn't write off the season just yet, as historically La Nina seasons have development well into October and even early November! Besides Otto though, the tropics are fairly quiet right now...
